Alleyne School Alumni Association Honours Kevin Greenidge at Its Grand Reunion 2025

The Alleyne School Alumni Association (ASAA) recognised Dr.Kevin Greenidge, one of its most outstanding graduates, at its Grand Reunion 2025 Awards dinner recently
Dr. Greenidge, who was an honouree at the prestigious event, received the Aliis Non Sibi Award for his exceptional contributions to economics, public service, and his ongoing commitment to supporting his alma mater and the vulnerable through the Kevin Greenidge Foundation. The recognition highlights his distinguished career and dedication to giving back to the institution that helped shape his early academic foundation.
“We were tremendously proud to honour Governor Dr. Greenidge, whose achievements in economics and public life exemplify the excellence we strive to instill in all Alleyne School students,” said Hazeain King. President of the Alumni Association. “His continued support and mentorship of our institution demonstrates the lasting impact of an Alleyne School education.”
The formal awards dinner took place at the Sea Rocks Dome, Barbados Beach Club, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church.
Dr. Greenidge who delivered the acceptance speech on behalf of all awardees said: “Tonight, we accept these awards with gratitude and with the commitment to continue serving, inspiring, and giving back. Thank you to the Alleyne School Alumni Association for this recognition and thank you to everyone here for keeping the Alleyne spirit alive.”
Themed “An Alleyne Moment in History – Celebrating 240 Years”, the evening marked both the school’s 240th anniversary and the ASAA’s 55th year of service. The programme featured musical performances, toasts to the school’s founder, tributes to its history, and the presentation of a new musical instrument to the school.
